| Sean Sykes was recruited to the Apexx team in January 2009. This required a significant change which entailed him to move from his hometown in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He brought along to share in this new journey his wife, Monique and their mini zoo.
Sean began his career in the veterinary industry as a sales representative for a pharmaceutical company. He understands and respects those that want to further their veterinary practice as a business.
Sean has not always been serving veterinarians. He is an EPA certified, HVAC Technician who worked mostly on commercial equipment. He has had his fair share of sweat and sun.
Though he misses family and friends back home, especially his sister Taryn, this opportunity to work among the most loyal and passionate group of people at Apexx is definitely worth the sacrifice.
When Sean is not helping veterinarians find the best equipment available, he enjoys riding street on a 20” BMX bike, playing pool and watching movies with his wife. Sean’s mini zoo at home includes: Two black cats, a rabbit, a cockatiel, a turtle, and a bull terrier named Rhino.

JD joined the Apexx team in June, 2002, as
the company's third employee. He started as the Distribution
Center Assistant. With diligence and attention to detail he quickly proved
himself and advanced with Apexx to Manager's level. JD has proven to
be one of Apexx Equipment's most valuable, most reliable employees.
He's been an integral part of the company's success from its infancy
to where it is now. In 2003 he took on the additional responsibility
of designing, developing and launching Apexx Equipment's first
website.
As you're discovering, JD has designed an
information-rich site that's easy to navigate which has rapidly
become the industry standard and an invaluable resource for physicians
and veterinarians worldwide to find New and Pre-Owned Certified
equipment.
In August, 2003, he relinquished
his position as Apexx Equipment's Distribution Center Manager to
pursue his college degree. In addition to a heavy class workload, JD
continued to build and maintain the Apexx website.
Originally from Colorado, JD graduated from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems.

JD is also responsible for the installation, training, trouble-shooting and repair of digital radiography platforms.

He was married to his wife, Ashlene on 08/30/08. She works as an Executive Assistant. JD and Ashlene have one dog, a Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier named Maggie.

| Gary joined the Apexx team in October of 2006. With him came a diverse technical background coupled with a passion for small business and an ability to not simply be a part of a team, but also to strengthen it. Gary started in what was once the most humble of positions at Apexx however, by virtue of his work ethic and natural ability Gary was promoted to his current position of Distribution Center Manager. The company depends daily on his abilities of managing and leading the highly intricate and complex world-wide Distribution Center of Apexx Equipment.
Originally from West Bountiful Utah, Gary moved to Colorado in 1988 and has never since been able to leave the beauty of the Colorado Rockies (at least for too long). Gary spent 6 years in the United States Army Reserve and as a civilian during those years made his living as a ski/snowboard technician and spent his time high in the Rocky Mountains. Eventually he did the same with mountain bikes and in 1999 opened a shop of his own with a partner. |

Drew directs Apexx
Equipment in an ultra-competitive field against larger,
longer-established companies. Apexx has successfully created a niche
in the veterinary equipment market with a broad
selection of brand name equipment in both New & Pre-Owned Certified
models. More importantly, with the help of the team of professionals
whom you’ve met on this page, Apexx provides accountability and world-class service. Mr. Blackstone
leads Apexx Equipment with one simple goal, “Have fun and outwork the competition.”
On the personal
side, Drew grew up on a farm and ranch operation in Nebraska where
he learned responsibility, the value of hard work, honesty and
integrity, teamwork and the importance of family. His passion is
Apexx Equipment and what he enjoys most about the challenge is
having the opportunity to work alongside his team of professionals
at Apexx.
When not at work,
Drew spends his time relaxing, playing an occasional round of golf,
working out, catching rays at the pool, making sure his favorite
restaurants still serve his favorite selections and visiting his
farm and family in Nebraska. Drew has been known to occasionally
watch or attend a football game.
